She won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Single Performance by a Supporting Actress for her work in the television miniseries ''Holocaust''. Baker is known for her role as Ginny Baker in ''Sixteen Candles''; she also starred in the title role of ''Lolita'' on Broadway.
