Description
Item Description:Dedication signed: Robert Wilmot.
A verse adaptation of "Tancredi and Ghismunda" from: Boccaccio, Giovanni. Decamerone.
In the original play act 1 was written by Rodger Stafford, act 2 by Henry Noel, act 3 by "G. Al." (possibly William Allen), act 4 by Sir Christopher Hatton, and act 5 by Wilmot. Wilmot revised the play, and probably re-cast it from the original decasyllabic rhyming quatrains into blank verse.
