Leaf B1 comes in three states, in this order: (1) conjugate; stanza 1 line 1 "The sacred armies and the godly knight"; (2) as above, with a cancel slip with another version of stanza 1 beginning "I sing the warre made in the Holy land,"; or with traces of the now-lacking slip; (3) B1 a cancel; stanza 1 line 1 "I sing the sacred armies and the knight"; the Argument also revised.
