The caribou were monitored via aerial surveys from May to July 1984 flown over Caribou Protection Areas, designated water crossings, areas of known caribou activity, land use permit sites, claim areas, and other areas of mineral interest. The surveys were intended to provide information to land use inspectors who enforced the 1984 Caribou Protection Measures. Results are presented & discussed regarding spring migration activity, calving areas, post-calving movements, caribou presence near land use activities, and caribou movement at water crossings. | ||
