She received her PhD in geography from the University of Saskatchewan in 2008, joined UTM as an assistant professor in 2009, and was promoted to associate professor in 2014; Qihao Weng, PhD, IEEE Fellow, is the director of the Center for Urban and Environmental Change and a professor at Indiana State University, and worked as a senior fellow at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) from December 2008 to December 2009. He received his PhD degree from the University of Georgia in 1999.
