Their stories collide and as revolutionary violence ignites on the streets of Paris, Jean Valjean begins his journey towards self-acceptance, redemption and love. In war-torn France, Jean Valjean is released from prison after serving 19 years for a petty crime. Ambitious prison guard Javert is convinced he will reoffend. Life as an ex-convict is brutal, and his past continues to haunt him. Meanwhile in Paris, cheerful young seamstress Fantine meets the love of her life. | ||
