Their stories collide and as revolutionary violence ignites on the streets of Paris, Jean Valjean begins his journey towards self-acceptance, redemption and love. An encounter with the wise bishop of Digne forces Jean Valjean to consider his own morality. Fantine leaves Paris to find work and must make a heart-breaking decision on her way. Jean Valjean forges a new identity, and Javert is determined to catch him out. | ||
