Item Description: | Concerning the controversial settlement of Dudley Leavitt, a New Light preacher, over a division of the First Church in Salem, Mass. Cf. Sibley's Harvard graduates, volume 10, pages 374-379. The letter was circulated as a supplement to the Nov. 4, 1745, issue of the Boston evening post, printed by Thomas Fleet. In the Nov. 18, 1745, issue, Fleet openly declared himself the printer of the anonymous letter. Text in two columns. |
