"Advertised June, 1792, 'Just published in quarto, on a large type. The morning and evening service, litany, occasional prayers, with the table of lessons, and calendar of the Protestant Episcopal Church, as revised, and set forth by the General Convention of said church held at Philadelphia, in October, 1789, and now used by the churches of that denomination in this commonwealth. A few sets of the same in folio, by which the old prayer book, in folio, may be made to answer to the revised form.'"--Evans.
"This work ... without title-page ... was printed by Thomas and Andrews, at the suggestion of the Reverend Dr. Parker, of Trinity Church, Boston, for insertion in the folio English editions of the Book of common prayer belonging to the churches. The printers did this without charge to the church but, to reimburse themselves, they also printed a small edition in quarto, which was for sale. ..."--Evans.
