By the Honorable Jonathan Trumbull, Esq; governor of the English colony of Connecticut, in New-England, in America: a proclamation [microform] : Whereas it is resolved by the General Assembly ... that an embargo be laid upon the exportation out of this colony by water, the following articles of provision, viz. wheat, rye, Indian corn, pork, beef, live cattle ... I do hereby strictly prohibit and forbid all persons from transporting ... any of the aforesaid articles ... Given under my hand in the Council chamber in New-Haven ... this 19th day of October ... 1775.
