Summary:	During the occupation of Spain by Napolean's army, a young gypsy girl, Paquita, saves the life of Lucien, a French officer targeted for death by the Spanish governor by way of the gypsy chieftan. When Paquita discovers by way of a medallion that she is actually of noble birth and was abducted by the gypsies as an infant, she is able to once again save her precious Lucien and marry him.
