Abstract: | This document provides a report and an analysis of the Radiological Control Performance Indicators through the first Quarter of Calendar Year 1998 (CH-98) for Lockheed Martin Idaho Technologies Company (LMITCO). LMITCO is the prime contractor at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL). This Performance Indicator Report is provided in accordance with Article 133 of the INEEL Radiological Control Manual. These indicators should be used by management as tools to focus priorities, attention, and adherence to As-Low-As-Reasonably-Achievable (ALARA) practices. The INEEL collective occupational radiation deep dose is 12.426 person-rem year to date, compared to a quarterly goal of 16.2 person-rem. In comparison to last year, the site dose goal has been reduced mainly due to work scope reductions at the Idaho Nuclear Technologies and Engineering Center (INTEC), formerly the Idaho Chemical Processing Plant. Due to unforeseen increases in shipments to the Radioactive Waste Management Complex, the authors anticipate additional dose increases and will reflect these changes in the next quarter report. |
