An atmospheric code (6S) and 562 spectra were used to compute the top of the atmosphere radiance near the 940 nm water vapor absorption feature in steps of 2.5 nm as a function of precipitable water (PW). We derive a novel technique called ̀̀Atmospheric Pre-corrected Differential Absorptioǹ̀ (APDA) and show that APDA performs better than the CIBR over many surface types.
