Item Description: | In three parts; the first, 'A detection of the actions of Mary Queen of Scots' has a separate titlepage. The second and third, 'De jure regni apud Scotos' and 'The geneologie of all the kings of Scotland' have separate titlepages; the pagination and register are continuous with the first part except that 'The translator to the reader' following the titlepage to the second part i a two-leaf insert, signed L in square brackets, which is not included in the pagination. 'A detection' and 'De jure regni' were both originally published separately. The ornament on the titlepage of 'A detection of the actions..' has flowers; a variant has a winged head with trumpets.
