Summary: | This annual report details the activities and accomplishments of the Polish Children and Youth Foundation (PCYF), established in 1992 to foster the development of Polish children and youth from age 5 to 20 through financial support to organizations serving children and youth, through training programs for local government officials and others, and through conferences and seminars to discuss the needs of children and youth. The report describes the mission of the foundation and details the activities of the foundation for the year 2000 in the following areas: (1) educating the public; (2) supporting youth activities; (3) providing better educational opportunities for children and young people; and (4) promoting effective methods of working with children and young people. Organizations receiving grants from PCYF in 2000 are delineated. Also included in the report are financial statements, a map detailing the location of organizations receiving PCYF monies, and a figure detailing PCYF's expenditures in 2000.
