Summary:The Idaho Kindergarten Curriculum Guide was designed to assist teachers and administrators at the district and local level in kindergarten program planning. The guide focuses on: (1) the process of administering the kindergarten program; (2) human elements in the kindergarten program; (3) kindergarten as a cooperative venture; (4) facilities and basic equipment; (5) interest and technology centers; and (6) development of the kindergarten curriculum in health and physical education, language arts, mathematics, science, and social science. Appendices include descriptions of appropriate practices for Idaho kindergartens; suggested units; guidelines for equipment, materials, and room plans; sample forms; and a guide to high quality literature for 5- and 6-year-olds.
