Summary: | This document provides a description of the competitions involved in the Mathematics Olympics held in the Springfield Public Schools (Missouri). It provides descriptions of the team events (which involved a scavenger hunt, computers, and computations) and the individual events (which involved applied geometry, calculators, conversion from ratio to fraction to decimal to percent, and problem solving). The Olympics are open to sixth grade students and all events are held in one evening. (A schedule of the events is provided). The bulk of the document contains the student tests and worksheets used in all of the events.
