520 |a Long range planning allows an indepth analysis, to be updated yearly, of a school to determine the directions in which it needs to start moving based on the assumptions about the present and future success of the school. There is no quick fix or outside consultant that can remedy or plan for any individual school; only those intimately involved with the school can accomplish the planning. The involved participants should include the principal, the clergy, parents, students, parishioners, and the larger community. Seven components must be considered: (1) the philosophy of the school; (2) the enrollment and future demographics; (3) the current staffing patterns and ways to provide an increased professionalism for them; (4) the curriculum; (5) physical facility needs; (6) finances; and (7) the particular school goals.
