It also examines other factors that influence dropout attitudes, aspirations, and needs after leaving school. Factors affecting re-enrollment are explored. Data were culled from in-depth interviews with 85 principals and counselors, and 219 dropouts who were either still out-of-school or re-enrolled in a DCPS alternative or adult education program. Study findings are presented on nine tables and figures. There is a need for dropout prevention services prior to the high school level. Five recommendations for improvement are offered. (BJV) | ||
