Summary:This guide was developed to help teachers conduct a cooperative work experience internship program in high technology and related industry for high school students. The curriculum guide provides an overview of the high-technology internship program, lists goals and objectives of the program, and provides a course outline containing 13 units. Each unit consists of a terminal objective, specific objectives, references, lists of instructional materials, student activities, and an outline of the course content. Topics covered in the 13 units are the following: orientation; safety; Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA); ethical practices and laws; human relations; parlimentary procedures; job application; diet, hygiene, and grooming; personal finance; career planning; owning a business; computer literacy; and basic electronics. Units are designed in such a way that the instructor may vary the sequence and scope as desired. (KC)
