Description
Summary:These two reports look at trends in fall and spring enrollments at Oklahoma City Community College in terms of the following categories: male, female, full-time, part-time, new students, returning students, graduates, single, married, divorced, average age, Black, White, American Indian, Asian, Hispanic, international, other ethnic/no response, immediate job entry, transfer, continuing education, full-time equivalent/credit hours, and average credit hours. Highlighted findings include the following: (1) fall 1984 headcount enrollment was down 10.3% from fall 1983, while spring 1985 enrollment showed a 2.9% increase over spring 1983; (2) students carried an average load of just under two 3 credit hour classes each; (3) males tended to represent a higher percentage of the enrollments in the spring than in the fall; (4) in fall 1984, the average student age was over 30 for the first time during a fall semester, although the average age during the spring semesters was over 30 in spring 1985 and for each of the preceding 5 years; and (5) the percentage of full- (approximately 15%) and part-time (approximately 85%) students remained fairly stable in both fall and spring semesters.
