| Summary: | The purpose of this directory is to provide information regarding the availability of specialized middle level teacher preparation programs. The directory provides information on approximately 240 colleges and universities, listed alphabetically by state. For each of these colleges and universities, the directory: (1) lists the degrees offered; (2) indicates whether the middle level program is a major specialization comparable to an elementary or secondary education major, a program that has been added to an elementary or secondary program to provide dual certification, or a program limited to selected courses not leading to a degree or certification; and (3) gives the name and address of an individual to contact for additional information.
