Summary:This is a report of the planning and development of environmental education programs in North Carolina. Areas discussed are the need for cooperative planning, goals and objectives, and existing programs in scientific and technical training, in public and professional education, and in public agencies. Limitations are noted and specific recommendations for a dynamic statewide plan are given. A complete timetable for the coordination of proposed phases is given, complete with specific objectives and strategies to be evaluated. A supplement lists various federal, state, and private agencies that might be of aid in implementing environmental education programs. (LS)
