| Summary: | Beginning in 1973, the career placement center of the Des Moines Independent School District instituted a student employment survey in an attempt to quantify part-time student employment during the summer and school months. The data presented was collected over a two-year period and represents 2,074 senior high school student responses. There were four sections to the 20-item questionnaire: summer employment, school year employment, employment counselor effectiveness, and student attitudes.
