In the first paper (by J. Becker) an historical perspective of the project and a brief description of the community based residential treatment center from which it operates are provided. Various aspects of the hometeacher training program are reported, and statistics on 121 children served by the project are cited to support the program's effectiveness in the second paper (by J. Crozier). Covered in paper three (by B. Toohey) is the role of the hometeacher in curriculum development, appropriate use of diagnostic evaluations, and interdependence upon private agency resource personnel. Reviewed in the final paper (by S. Ragona) is the dissemination campaign program used to identify students to be served and insure project growth. (SB)
