In general, the local group was found to be superior to the standardization group. These results confirmed the impressions of the teachers in the district with respect to the ability of the children, especially for kindergarten and first grade children. Trends in preschool education and educational television have increased the achievement of this age group. The norms that are given are related only to the age and not to the actual grade placement of the children at the time of testing. (CTM)
