The units suggested include an overview of women's participation in American political life, what the unique socialization and political learnings are in growing up female, a description of the politics in the first feminist movement from 1870 to 1919, a discussion of the politics in the contemporary feminist movement, an analysis of the characteristics of the emerging political woman, and an extended unit and project centering on the key variables operating in contemporary political campaigns.
