| 520 | |a The ninth annual study of the application and enrollment patterns of university transfer students regarding the inter-campus mobility of students attending institutions under the program of the State University of New York is presented. Transfer students are defined in this study as those undergraduate students who were enrolled at a State University institution for the first time in a given Fall term. Part One provides summary tables on transfer students according to prior institution and student level and degree; also included are related summaries dealing with admission success, trends of transfer students, and enrollment data. Part Two presents tables for each institution as well as an appendix containing trends in full-time undergraduate credit course transfer students at senior institutions and transfers to senior institutions from two-year institutions. The final section provides footnote references, a map of State University institutions, chronology of dates of establishment of State University institutions, and a publications list. Several findings were concluded by the data summary such as a total of 27,075 transfer students enrolled in the Fall 1978 at State University institutions, transfer students enrolled in the Fall of 1978 represent 8.6 percent of the total undergraduate enrollment for that term, and the most common transfer was one who transferred within the State University system from a two-year to a senior institution.
