Description
Summary:A model for living learning centers and practical and philosophical considerations that face residence educators who wish to implement the concept are examined. The issues addressed in this guide are designed to promote further discussion and research into the development and applications of the living learning concept on today's college campus. The work to date of the task force on living learning centers is also summarized. The course of the task force is analyzed, based on statements of rationale, objectives, and reports, and its data collection methods are examined. The living learning center model of the task force represents an ideal, a collaboratively administered student development program. Additionally, perspectives based on experience with living learning centers are considered. Sketches of currently operating centers, and a list of resources and references are included. (SW)
