A summary of content focuses on five major topics (sample subtopics in parentheses): legislation and regulations (eligibility of LD individuals 16 and older for vocational rehabilitation services); characteristics of LD persons; assessment (scarcity of citations on assessment of adult populations); vocational evaluation training and placement of LD adults in competitive employment); and vocational rehabilitation (needs for inservice training of state vocational rehabilitation personnel). Among recommendations offered is one calling for research on cost effective outcomes of vocational rehabilitation and another urging a nationally acceptable model of state VR services.
