Summary:These four tables of statistical data report Delaware public school racial and ethnic information compiled from the September 30, 1989 school enrollment reports. Table 1, "Racial and Ethnic Report by School, Pupil Enrollment," reports the number and percentage of enrollment of the following groups by school and by school district: (1) American Indian; (2) Black; (3) Asian; (4) Hispanic; and (5) White. Students submitted for regular, special, and vocational funding are included. Students attending Kent and Sussex Vocational School District schools and the New Castle Vocational District's Hodgson School are reported in both their home school and in Table 2, "Racial and Ethnic Summary by School District, Pupil Enrollment." Table 2 summarizes the data reported in Table 1 by district in each county. Table 3 is "Percentage of Black Students by Grade by District, Pupil Enrollment." Table 4, "Percentage Distribution of Delaware Public Schools Students, by Racial/Ethnic Origin by District, 1987/88 through 1989/90," reports the percentages of Black, Hispanic American, and "other" students enrolled during the 1987/88, 1988/89, and 1989/90 school years.
