A theory of affective growth based on Rokeach (1960) was developed and tested in a quasi-experimental pre-post design. Data were analyzed using Multiple Regression Analysis to control for pre-course responses. Sex, curriculum, a motivation/ability proxy, and two interaction terms were entered as independent variables. Significant differences in outcomes were found by type of curriculum and by sex, controlling for pre-course responses. This study affirms the importance of, and provides a methodology for, the assessment of affective educational outcomes. (Author/BW) were analyzed.
