The first consists of an historical profile of Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC), a statement of the college's mission, and descriptions of the college's organizational structure, student characteristics, educational programs, and financial, personnel, and facility resources. The second section contains a demographic and socioeconomic profile of the college service area, ten-year labor force projections, and an analysis of area high school students and their post high school plans. The final section contains the long-range goals of TNCC and the steps required to implement them. Among the long-range goals are: (1) continued commitment to an open admissions policy; (2) enrollment levels approaching 2% of the TNCC service area by 1980; (3) at least 46% female composition of the student body by fall 1980 and an equal proportion of women in the student body to that in the service area by 1986; (4) instruction in all programs based on clearly stated objectives; (5) development of specified new programs; (6) adoption of a management by objectives system; (7) regular articulation with area public schools; (8) implementation of a staff development program; (9) expansion of on- and off-campus physical facilities. Statistical data are tabulated throughout the report. (JDS)
