The possible implications of global change for this region of the world are explained in the hope that policymakers and individuals will be more inclined to make responsible decisions about global change policy issues. The individual information sheets, called "scenarios", describe the scientific community's prevailing interpretations of what may happen to the Great Lakes region in the face of global warming. The scenarios are written in terms the general public can understand and include the most recent information available on a variety of subjects. The Introduction, "Understanding Climate Models," is followed by 10 scenarios.
