It concludes with a summary of the Forum on School Construction and Modernization held on April 8, 1998, in Phoenix, Arizona. Forum participants discuss the following questions: why it is important to build, repair, and modernize schools; and whether there are successful stories where buildings have been remodeled or constructed that are making a difference in the way children learn.
