Description
Summary:This paper presents the results of a research project based on the Understandings of Consequence Project. This study motivated students to engage in inquiry in science classrooms. The complexity of the models is divided into four categories--underlying causality, relational causality, probabilistic causality, and emergent causality--and provides several examples, including electrical circuits, static electricity, natural selection, and ecosystems for scientific conceptions, to show evidence of the Models and Moves framework for learners.
