For each program, the handbook provides information about: (1) course requirements in terms of lectures, laboratory work, reading assignments, library work, papers, guest lectures, field trips, and internships; (2) the physical accessibility of the lecture and laboratory settings and the type of furniture utilized in these settings; (3) the instructional methods and materials used in lectures and laboratories and the availability of special assistance and alternative examination methods; (4) the physical demands of the course, including requirements for standing, stooping, lifting, motor coordination, tactile sensitivity, ability to take notes, and task completion speed; and (5) the extent to which the class environment duplicates actual working conditions. Technical electives and independent study courses are not included in the handbook. (JP)
