Summary: | This curriculum guide for general mathematics consists of the development of a number of basic concepts which are chosen because of their relevance to problems of applications. These concepts are classified under the following strands--(1) concept of number, (2) concepts basic to operations, (3) concepts of percent and percentage, (4) concepts basic to geometric form and position, (5) concepts of measurement, (6) concepts of functional relationship, (7) concepts of comparison, (8) concepts of probability, (9) concepts of set, (10) concepts of limit, (11) concepts of infinity. All the concepts are developed continuously and simultaneously through four years of high school and at varying leves of sophistication and difficulty. (RP) |
