The first unit identifies the disadvantaged student and duscusses his educational needs, the attitudes and roles of teachers, and the nature of the learning process; the second unit describes specifically the social and psychological characteristics of the disadvantaged student, concentrating particularly on his learning style. In each of these units the major points are summarized and questions for discussion and a bibliography are included.
