Description
Summary:This bibliography lists materials which deal with the role of the disadvantaged in public service. It focuses only on materials generally available to the average researcher, and is designed to be of particular use to those whose responsibility is to hire the disadvantaged. Included in the bibliography is whatever written material is generally available on the selection, testing, training, and employment on all levels of the public service of disadvantaged persons. The materials have been annotated, evaluated, and grouped with a view to what is available; only a few attempts have been made to point out gaps in the field. The sources are grouped as follows: (1) Federal sources and commentaries on Federal programs; (2) general issues such as social problems and manpower; (3) personnel practices such as fair employment; and (4) specific programs.
