Summary:GRADES OR AGES: Inservice course for secondary teachers. SUBJECT MATTER: Earth science. ORGANIZATION AND PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: The guide is intended for use with a 32-program television course for teachers, with material intended to be used in the classroom. The introductory material explains the rationale of the course and includes the transmission schedule and bibliography. Each lesson section is divided into four segments--objectives, a list of references, suggested activities, and a content outline of the material. The guide is offset printed and is in a looseleaf binder. OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES: The objectives are listed at the beginning of each lesson. Suggested activities are included in each lesson and are intended to provide examples of student investigation, demonstrations, or activities which will demonstrate a particular concept. INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: References to relevant printed material are given in each lesson, and other materials are also referred to in the text.
