Arranged in a 3-column format of procedures, student activity and resources, the guide suggests teaching strategies for such units as: (1) Wonderful World of Work, (2) Working at Home, (3) Family Living, (4) Our Parents in the World of Work, (5) Clothes of Today, (6) Workers Within Our Community, (7) Protective Services Provided by Our State, (8) Crafts of Appalachia, and (9) Careers in Music. Suggested teaching techniques include field experiences, simulated exercises of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor nature, resource role models, and multi-media activities. (JS)
