Five major sections provide: 1) a plan for an inquiry approach to a study of Black Africa, intended for students in grades 7, 9, and 10; 2) a plan to coordinate a specific U.S. history text with supplemental material along with a unit outline of this material and basic text; 3) the introduction of four areas of studying --voting, housing, education, and employment --and a list of suggested activities; 4) a list of activities for the development of an Afro-American program; and 5) an annotated list of fiction, non fiction, biographies, and autobiographies.
