| Summary: | The National Council of Administrative Women in Education proposes that the time is here to advance American education by enlivening the upper levels of the educational establishment with a new flow of qualified women into administrative and policymaking positions. The basic principle that emerges from government employment requirements is that women must be treated as people. Employers, including school boards, must make supervisors conscious of the ways in which they treat women differently from men in the work situation. In the coming years, sex discrimination will neither be taken for granted nor accepted as natural. The difficulties of transition in school systems and educational institutions will be easier for those employers who take steps early to inform themselves of the issues and who demonstrate good faith by initiating positive action to correct inequities.
