| Summary: | The Academic Common Market is an interstate agreement among Southern states for sharing academic programs. Participating states include Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Each state is able to make arrangements for its residents who qualify for admission to enroll in specific graduate programs in other states on an in-state tuition basis. The opportunities to residents through this program are listed in this document, state-by-state. As a result of arrangements worked out by the participating states, students entering these programs through the market will not be required to pay out-of-state tuition fees. Brief program descriptions and addresses to which inquiries about admission to programs may be sent are included. (MJM) |
