Summary: | The report summarizes the goals, activities, and accomplishments of the Instructional Materials Center for Special Education (IMCSE) at the University of Southern California from 1966 through 1974. The IMCSE served the California, Arizona, and Nevada region, and activities focused on the development of library services, a regional IMCSE network, media and materials for use by special educators, and research and evaluation of instructional materials. Project objectives and activities are described for each funding year and are color coded with corresponding sections on project results. Reviewed in the final chapter are project outcomes in areas such as the acquisition and dissemination of library materials, associate centers, and IMCSE products (including a visual perception filmstrip and a contingency management package).
