Summary:To deliver career guidance services to the secondary school students of the State College Area High School, a career resource center was established and a career counselor provided for the school. Six general areas of activity are described: (1) a library of resource materials, (2) an attractive and appropriate space for counseling or for meetings, (3) human resources from outside the school, (4) community programs, (5) an integrated curriculum of regular subject matter with career information, and (6) faculty expertise in selecting and using appropriate materials. An evaluation of the services is made through student surveys and plans are made for continuing the center. Instruments, materials, and a floor plan of the facility are appended. (MU)
