Abstract:In June 2004, a U.S. Department of Energy Qualified AIRMaster+ Specialist at Atlas Copco Compressors was asked to review the compressed air system at the Canandaigua Wine Company in Lodi, California, as part of a program to improve industrial energy efficiency. The review prompted a system-level improvement project that enabled the winery to use its compressors more efficiently and to add another, more efficient compressor, saving 218,000 kWh annually and $27,000 in energy and maintenance costs.
