He points out that: Section 93 of the Education and Inspection Act 2006 has made the powers of restraint more explicit for teachers; The law grants teachers the right to use reasonable force as a last resort in order to restrain or control pupils; The government have produced guidance which, they say, will help teachers judge correctly whether any force they may use really is reasonable;The guidance stresses that the context of each particular situation must be taken into account.
