Abstract: | The 0.45-scale model of the Curtiss XP-62 vertical tail surface mounted on a stub fuselage was tested in the Langley 7- by 10-foot tunnel. The aerodynamic characteristics of the vertical tail with a plain rudder, two amounts of overhang and an internal balance are presented. Tab characteristics on the plain rudder are also presented. |
